..lot of things have happened :)

aaahhh.. finally.. back on the road and inspired as inspired can be! :D

I managed to get a cheap trip for myself over to the mainland on the cargo ferry (normally they don´t do, but for having my bike shipped I was allowed to board :) was finally napping in the captains house.. you have no idea how lovely it is to sleep on a rocking boat to the sweet sound of the diesel engine.. it´s really mesmerizing, putting you to sleep quickly :)

then I spent a night in La Ceiba, was tired and didn´t really go out. Thought it´s okay to let the past experience settle and prepare slowly for the next part of the trip. The next day I had a long ride to Copan las Ruinas, where there are some more Mayan ruins. Lost my map on the way :(( because didn´t put it right in my bike and it flew away.. well, after a few days of traveling "blind" and asking a lot for the way, I have now another map for Nicaragua, that´s fairly OK to travel around here.

since I left the Island I got all kind of weather, from pouring rain and thunderstorms to sunny and hot weather. OK.. I have to correct my statement from before, it can also be TOO hot if your riding on a bike.. it´s like hot air from a hair dryer and if you stop, you start melting in all your gear :-/ but well.. as the rainy season really started, there were also cloudy skies (luckily dry! :) and the temperature is more supportable.. get a little bit less light, but it´s still fairly bright on the road :)

the ruins itself weren´t too stunning.. it´s still not a long time ago I saw so much of it and I figured out, once in your lifetime you should see the Mayan ruins, but it´s as going to Mekka, don´t have to do it over and over again ;) it´s mainly because the area is 1km square and it´s fenced all around.. so it´s not as beautiful as being in the jungle in Tikal..
but met some nice people there, had lot´s of interesting conversations and went for a horseback ride for 2 hours.. was fun! we were running a lot with the horses and I´m glad I got my guide the 5-Dollar upgrade to have an own horse.. it sucks if somebody walks next to you while you´re riding!! we visited a small village on a hill nearby and I talked to the teachers at the school, learned some local language (not really spoken by anybody) and the kids from the Kindergarden were singing the national antheme for me ;) hehe :) was really sweet!!
they go to school until 12 years old and then they work on the fields and get married and have children as soon as possible.. well.. other culture, really different even from Copan.

I started then the other morning very early at 6am and had a long day to the capital, Tegucigalpa (a name I couldn´t pronounce to the end ;) was a good ride.. over mountains, some dirt roads, overall very scenic! only to drive the last 30 min I had to sit out a pouring rain (NO WAY you drive in that), saw some accidents then when I continued (glad not to have driven during rain) and could pass the long lines of cars to not be delayed there (bikes RULE!! :)
getting into town, I just barely found a place before the rain started again and had then a wild and adventurous night by going out and spending a good ammount of money ;) but yes.. from time to time this is totally allowed ;)

yesterday I made it over the boarder to Nicaragua.. was a hassle though.. gave 10 bucks to a guy who was running around to get my stuff done (was asking for twenty and I told him, this is nasty to do so!) and got totally ripped off by changing money.. I lost 25 dollars and was happy I spent so much the night before ;) got really angry at this dude, but already was on the other side of the boarder when I figured out the real exchange rate :( I think, I was mostly angry at myself that I was so stupid not to realize this. should have asked before about the course, should have asked somebody else there (guy in a office for example) and worst! could have figured out by making a bit calculations in my head. But well.. it´s financial ineffectiveness, but having a look at the money I still got for the rest of the trip, it doesn´t really matter. just for the future.. I shall never ever mention the price of my bike again!! :( yeah.. stupid me.. but realizing I am mostly angry at myself, I also could forgive me that stupid mistake and I will have many more chances to proof that I´m smarter than that (more crossing about to come ;)
then on the other side the same story.. first the lady was "that is so not right" when I told her about the rip off and told her there is no more tip this day. but still, people ask for money for stuff that is actually free and when they wanted another 5 bucks not tip, but laying to me that I have to pay, I checked around the corner and told this lady afterwards in my best, fluent Spanish: "go to hell and fuck yourselves!! ..all of you!" this then helped me to unload some anger and speak it out loudly (even if the success of this tactic is questionable.. I just felt I have to tell the people that this pisses of certain people). yes.. it was a bit stressful.. but less expensive than Mexico or Honduras (and still Honduras was worst for delaying so long). I mean, standing in this heat and then getting all this stuff together is exhausting and even if it seems so easy afterward it just wasn´t for the first time..

First impressions of Nicaragua: Beautiful!! don´t know why, but it´s a different vibe than Honduras (can´t explain yet). there are a lot of horses and cows in the rural place where I drove through and I realized once more that it´s just wonderful to make this trip on a motorcycle, because riding through all this countries is an incredible experience by itself.. you see so much, start thinking about it and it´s so much fun to drive by yourself! :D haha :)))

I´m in Leon now and the weather stays rainy until Monday.. let´s see if there´s some sun to climb on the Volcano nearby! :) will see a movie I really wanted to see in the cinema this afternoon and there are lots of cool people around to talk to, hang and go out with! :D yes, really like this place!!

made up my plans for Nicaragua, met a guy who is on his way up from Argentina and gave me good tips about servicing and shipping my bike! and this morning I made friend with an awesome guy who can help me to realize my sailing dream! :) at the moment used boats can be bought for 8000 US ..will be more expensive in a few years, but still.. it´s affordable! :D and hell yes, sailing down by yourself is just the continuation of this bike trip (no worries, I will be back home for a good while inbetween this ;) hehe :) just you have to know what you´re doing to not create another wreck by getting too close to the shore.. because no insurance and no captains license (that you don´t need for 10m sailboats..) all in all very enlightening ;)

OK.. that´s it so far.. will upload some pictures the next day and probably going out and getting drunk the next days ;)
hear from me soon and be well out there!! :)

..I f*#king swam with the Wale Shark!!! :D

guys.. you wouldn't believe me that and I try hard to find the right words to describe this wonderful, epic moment of divine blissfulness!! :D
so on my last trip we went for one last time wale shark hunting and yes, there was indeed a boil, where the tuna jumps, feeding on small fish that feed on the krill that the shark brings up.. so there are a lot tuna in the water and swarms of green little stuff. We jumped 4 times and the first three times it was already way better than I could have ever expected it! the 30 foot long animal, cruising through the ocean, but going down fairly quickly and fading in the dark blue sea.. but then the last jump was just the shit!!! :D first thing was seeing his tail coming towards me and I had to take some evasive action to not be pushed aside and then he was just there.. I swam for minutes with that beautiful, mystical animal.. until my lungs got burning and when I almost lost it, it turned around and I could see his mouth opening and feeding on krill.. was soooooo amazing!!! So I kept up and took another shortcut to let him come back to me.. most people were already on the boat and they were calling me in, but I was.. f*#/ you guys, he is just here and it's one of the best sightings you can possibly have.. hehe ;) so yes, kept up for a little longer until the shark went deeper and my body asked for a rest :P I wonder if I could get some Facebook contact of somebody who filmed that.. so I had the best, most blasting dive ending here I could possibly have and I'm ready to move on to new adventures ;)

it took me a while to pack my things together and load them on my bike.. unfortunately it's so heavy now (dive literature :P) that I have to send some things home right away (will cost some dollars I guess, but having the load takes riding fun, so it will happen tomorrow). It's also quite a change from having nothing attached at all to this bike to my "hauling"-load that I carry normally with me :P

I said good bye to all the people I met yesterday and found pretty good vibes everywhere.. the way it has to be! :) because it's nicer to part ways if you can exchange some heartful words and wishing the best to each other! ..but as I arrived, it's a sudden and pretty silent good bye, just another rapid change as it happened, when I arrived.. let's see what lies out there ahead ;) it's time to find some nice road and I hope I'll get to Panama without technical difficulties.

Here I had some minor repairs done on the island and the guy is really a nice, awesome guy, but the way they treat my bike comes sometimes close to raping my little baby ;) well, it's not meant the get newer and it still fulfills all the basic functions.. it's just some parts break off and get then in a good old home welding tradition put back on, looking a bit different from how BMW designed them originally ;) ..and I would have loved to give a really good tip to the guys, but whenever I wasn't standing there, nothing happened.. and when I gave them half an hour to finish the job, then I would wait after this another 30 minutes to watch how it's done (better not sometimes ;) hehe :)
some days ago I took the radiator apart and cleaned it (got help from the shop) and hoped it would make a difference with the cooling, but it was actually not in a very bad shape, so I assume the changes aren't that significant either.

was finally going out a bit more lately and enjoyed a lot of good moments!! people don't live too healthy here in this place ;) it's good to make a move and see some different things.. now as I got my dive master trophy shirt ;)
I dived about 50 times here on the island and have no 99 dives logged in my career ;) hehe :) diving is fun!!! looking forward to do more of it.. probably getting some used but own diving gear and then make some badass diving holidays while I'm taking off from work back home ;)

well.. that's it for the moment.. maybe here from me out of Nicaragua or just before. it's not really far away from here and I'm looking forward to explore another country! :) heard good things about it.. so let's see..

..Round up..

hey there :)

well.. it has not been all that bad in the end, even if there were lonely moments of distractedness or having a troubled mind.. but in the end it's experience I guess and comes the way we need it and not the way we'd like to have it ;)
I just had several expectations that didn't get fulfilled (and the disappointment they contain). but over all I had a lot of joyful moments and learned a lot of the daily challenges that I encountered here.
two days ago, I came to a 8-9 on my freak-out-Richter-Scale .. too many things came together: an unfinished course, missing documents, the usual scratches and scars.. I know that it really doesn't pay out to worry, being anxious and tense, but still happened. Then things got solved pretty quickly (and are being solved). All it takes is a bit of faith and communication (and the ability to let things rest for a while if it has to be so.. working on that currently ;)

but then on the other hand, there is all this wonderful experience coming together.. not only getting more insight in diving and teaching, but becoming more confident in life, able to do things better. It's a good feeling to achieve something.. I couldn't live without working for something, going your chosen direction!
I had beautiful moments of free falling downwards to the bottom of the sea, entering a wreck and being creeped out by the thrilling experience!! :D I lied on the front of the boat, holding my hand down and nearly touching the dolphins that were jumping in the surge.. could even hear them communicate! :D and yesterday I've been amongst the few blessed ones who could snorkel for 30 seconds with a whale shark!! it's just totally fantastic!!! :D there have been hours spend following the tuna patches and for 6 weeks none has been sighted until yesterday! :) so snorklers get dispatched as quickly as possible but by so many people invading the water, the wale shark doesn't stay too long.. it's also pretty fast, so you have to kick as hell to keep up with it. but was super cool.. this 30 feet long animal crusing through the sea :) there was even a manta ray present deeper down in the open blue water.. huuuh.. just love it!!! today we found it again, but was already much deeper and disappeared super fast.. didn't really catch a glimps on it, but whatever.. I'll be diving the next days to finish my specialities.. so if it's ment to be, then we'll see each other again ;) but yes.. that's the very one thing you want to see most if you come on this island!
I got a lot of new ideas of what I still want to do in my life ;) hehe :) it seems, that by accomplishing one thing, three new things appear that become part of your life-vision :D just wonderful! so you'll never be bored but making your dreams come through!! ..so I hope some amongst you know what I'm talking about.. floating over walls and dropping down to reefs, being weightless, surrounded by water and a beautiful stunning scenery with lots of corals and fish..

so hear from me soon.. not too sure about the date to leave the place, but it's within 7 days :)

love'n'light!

..the end is neigh..

hello there :)

hmm.. I don't know if too many worth-posting things happened lately, but let's drop a few lines. My Sinus squeeze is over but got a skin rash that I was treating with hydrocortison creme and antihistamin tablets.. it first was almost gone and then went really bad within 24 hours.. (then I started medication) and it's probably getting better know, but takes days to disappear.. if there's just a slight change getting worse, I start immediately taking antibiotics, but wanted to wait before taking strong drugs. Well.. you probably have to take that compromise, if you travel in countries like that you might end up taking antibiotics, iprofan and paracitamol.. not my favorites, but sometimes it might be better to get rid of some issues that occured because you're not used to the environment you encounter.
my back hurts a little, but well.. still standing ;) I had about 7 days delay because of not being fit for diving and now my instructors are sick and I can't do my specialities :( so I hope until Sunday I'm done and then I can take the Wednesday cargo boat to ship my bike and move on.. if..
yes if, if I get my bike papers.. if Phil can't send them in the next 14 days, then I'm stuck between the boarders and I don't know what would happen.. bike probably detained at the boarder :(( would really, really suck! but well, let's hope for the best.. (being worried about doesn't seem to solve the problem ;)
what more.. there was a nice party at a friends place on Saturday and I was spinning fire with some other people and the guests loved it! :D it's nice to inspire and to entertain..
tomorrow morning will be the underwater vehicle course.. I'm really looking forward to that! sounds like a lot of fun!! :D
OK.. heading out to the shop to talk about finishing my Divemaster..
hear from me soon! :)

have a nice and sunny day and be blessed out there!!

..taking a day off..

hello there :)

I just checked internet if I have some response of my job requests in the Galapagos (it's hard from here, but would be SWEET to schedule something.. otherwise being there, I'll ask around everywhere ;) also waiting for my bike papers, that have been delivered to Phil in Alaska and will be mailed soon (then I just have to find spareparts for my bike and everything runs smoothly again ;) but I didn't have any of those and probably not too much to write anyway, but having lots of time by taking a day off and delaying my wreck dive speciality for a week, because I had problems with my Sinus yesterday while diving.. it's not too bad, but it's wise to be careful with that. what happens is, diving deep, you can't totally equalize your Sinus and small blood vessels pop up, sucking blood in this space and then going up you start bleeding out of your nose what looks REALLY messy mixed with all that other stuff coming from yuor nose. So yes.. no diving today, tomorrow just in the pool and then I should be fine again.. just never push it. glad to have enough days and time here. finished all my theoretical exams and will be diving, assisting and doing minor stuff for the rest of my course (in other words, I'm almost finished :D

I haven't been on a night dive, but will do for sure while being here! still haven't seen walesharks or dolphins :'( but anyway.. if it shall happen, then it will ;) until end of next week, I'll be certified wreck diver, deep diver (to 40m) and DPV (under water James Bond transportation vehicle :D haha :D that must be fun!!

well, the days are sunny and hot and it's nice to be here and having avoided the winter at all! ..the cloudy and rainy days seem also to be over for the moment :)
so wishing all of you a great time and gonna keep in touch in one way or the other :)

partying on the beach :)

hi folks :)

..almost don't know what to tell, there aren't too many spectacular things going on here.. and for the last 2 days I had a cold and could not go diving :( because I couldn't equalize me ears :P well, should be over now and I'd like to get a bit more active again!! ..could be I'm in a course by tomorrow and having two specializations next week and assisting in a Rescue Diver course.. so I might be really busy (and pretty much done with everything after it ;) hehe :)

..there was a really cool full moon party here on the beach.. some sort of electronic music and I enjoyed. Was fire dancing and contact juggling and amazed the people ;) hehe :) didn't spend a single Lempira (local currency) for that party, but also managed somehow to go home alone :'( but yes, must be part of the master plan ;) hehe :) finished my self-made didgeridoos today and hope to find soon a good opportunity to jam with people.
tonight is Saturday and I should at least have a drink or two somewhere.. really, I should probably spend more time with the people here but for some reason it's not happening too much :-/ ??
..yeah, that's probably everything.. if you feel writing me a message, just go on ;) hehe :) would be nice to hear something from you guys!

all the best and have fun!! :)
